Official early Galaxy A24 store page leaves nothing to the imagination

Samsung is one step away from quietly releasing the Galaxy A24. The low-cost phone now has a full landing page on Samsung’s Vietnamese online portal, where the company confirms our expectations regarding design, color options, and hardware specs.

Only two details are missing from the spec sheet provided by Samsung. Those are the name and make of the SoC and the version of Android OS. However, the chipset is likely the MediaTek Helio G99.

As for the version of Android OS, it might not be Android 12, after all! Which should be a relief for prospective Galaxy A24 buyers. Although Samsung doesn’t specify the version of Android OS, the online user manual the company provides pertains to Android 13. Besides, an early online benchmark for the Galaxy A24 also hinted at Android 13, so, thankfully, the recent rumors about the phone shipping with Android 12 may have been inaccurate.

With these caveats out of the way, the only other information missing from the official page is the price and release date. In Vietnam, Samsung seemingly plans to offer the Galaxy A24 in two color options — black and lime green — and two memory configurations featuring 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

The presentation page also confirms the phone’s entire range of colors, even though they might not all become available in Vietnam. The promotional material shows the Galaxy A24 in black, burgundy, lime green, and mirror silver.

Galaxy A24 confirmed specifications

The Galaxy A24 has a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED FHD+ display that is Eye Care-certified, which means it emits fewer harmful blue light radiations.

The camera setup consists of a 50MP primary shooter with an f/1.8 aperture and OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), a 5MP ultra-wide sensor (f/2.2), and a 2MP macro sensor (f/2.4). The selfie camera clocks in at a resolution of 13MP with an f/2.2 aperture.

The phone weighs 195 grams and measures 162.1 x 77.6 x 8.3mm. It has a 3.5mm audio port and expandable storage. In terms of connectivity, it benefits from NFC< Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C, and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac.

Samsung equipped the Galaxy A24 with a 5,000mAh battery. The company estimates that the phone should last 20 hours of video playback on a single charge or up to 21 hours of internet usage via Wi-Fi.

Galaxy A24 wild color option spotted as more specs and pricing details emerge

Although Samsung has announced a few Galaxy A phones this year, the Galaxy A24 is not among them. At least, not yet. However, the moment of truth appears to be drawing near, as a new series of Galaxy A24 renders have emerged, along with what appears to be a full (or almost complete) list of specifications, and more pricing and availability details.

The new renders depict the Galaxy A24 in three colors. There’s black, a lime green that resembles the Galaxy A34‘s color with the same name, and a more unusual third color option that looks sort of like a color-shifting mirror. (via WinFuture)

These renders make the mirror-like color option look pretty wild, and it will be interesting to see how this paint job looks in the real world.

The Galaxy A24 has a plastic back panel and frame. But the phone carries the 2023 design language, wherein the front and back panels are flat, and the rear-facing cameras don’t have a contour element.

The display has an Infinity-U notch around the selfie camera, and admittedly, the lower bezel is quite sizeable. Although the Galaxy A24 looks relatively fresh from the back, the front view betrays the phone’s low-cost origins.

Galaxy A24 will cost a little under €200

Samsung reportedly plans to release the Galaxy A24 in the Middle East, first and foremost. There, the phone will cost the equivalent of just under €200.

Unfortunately, the phone will supposedly ship with Android 12 rather than the latest version, which is Android 13 and One UI 5.1. The software experience doesn’t seem to have been among Samsung’s top priorities for the Galaxy A24, and it’s a bit of a shame, given the company’s dedication to great software and timely firmware updates for most of its phones.

As for general specifications, the Galaxy A24 has 4G connectivity, a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 (possibly 90Hz), a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of expandable storage. The phone should also feature a 5,000mAh battery, a USB-C slot, NFC connectivity, and dual-SIM capabilities.

The Galaxy A24’s back panel is said to carry a 50MP primary camera, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 5MP ultra-wide shooter, whereas the selfie camera should clock in at a resolution of 13MP. As yet, there’s no telling when Samsung will release the phone, but more details could emerge soon.

Galaxy A24 launch imminent, gets one more necessary clearance

Samsung has already released quite a bunch of phones this year. Well, that isn’t going to stop the biggest phone manufacturers in the world from launching more phones. It was reported that the Galaxy A24 is one of the next phones that may launch soon. Notably, its cases were listed on the websites of various online retailers in India.

Then a few days ago, the Galaxy A24 renders, along with the entire specifications and pricing, were revealed by a tipster. The renders show the Galaxy A24 in all its glory and reveal what is packed inside the phone. The Galaxy A24 has now been spotted on the Malaysian SIRIM certification website, hinting at its imminent launch.

The Galaxy A24 will be a dual-SIM phone with 4G connectivity

According to the Malaysian SIRIM certification (via 91 Mobiles), the Galaxy A24 carries the model number SM-A245F/DSN. The model number confirms that the phone will be a dual-SIM device, no surprise there. But that’s the only information that can be extracted from the Malaysian SIRIM certification of the Galaxy A24.

As far as the specifications are concerned, they have already been leaked. The Galaxy A24 is speculated to come with a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED Full HD+ display. It will have a 90Hz refresh rate and an Infinity-U notch (get over that notch, Samsung!). The Galaxy A24 will come with a 13MP selfie camera, and on the back, it will sport a 50MP primary sensor, a 5MP ultrawide, and a 2MP depth sensor, all capable of recording Full HD videos at 30fps.

Galaxy A24 renders leak along with full specifications and pricing

During the launch event of the Galaxy A14, Galaxy A34 5G, and Galaxy A54 5G in Turkey, Samsung revealed that it is working on a new device—Galaxy A24—and that it will hit the market “in the coming months“. A few leaks have revealed the phone’s design and specifications in the past. Today, the Galaxy A24 has leaked once again, giving us a look at more renders and, more importantly, its full specifications and pricing.

Galaxy A24 full specifications revealed in a new leak

The official-looking renders of the Galaxy A24 from The Tech Outlook and tipster Paras Guglani show the device in black and green colors. The render has this sort of promotional sticker highlighting the specifications of the device, which includes 4GB RAM, 128GB storage, a 5,000mAh battery with 15W charging, and a triple-camera setup at the rear with a 50MP primary camera.

As previous leaks had suggested, the Galaxy A24 will be a 4G device.

Coming to the pricing of the Galaxy A24, the leak claims that it will be priced at $190 and will land in India by the end of this month. The launch timeline seems believable as the phone has already been certified by Indian certification authorities. As previous leaks have suggested, the Galaxy A24 reportedly has either the MediaTek Helio G99 or Snapdragon 680 processor. Apart from black and green, it will also come in Red-Burgundy and Silver colors.

Samsung has launched eight affordable and mid-range smartphones this year, and only two of them are 4G devices. The rest feature 5G connectivity to offer improved download and upload speeds when not connected to a Wi-Fi network. Now, the company is planning to launch a new mid-range smartphone without 5G.

The South Korean firm has accidentally confirmed the existence of the Galaxy A24. A support page for the Galaxy A24 has been uploaded to Samsung India’s website, confirming its existence. Going by the company’s track record, the company could launch the Galaxy A24 soon. The smartphone’s model number is SM-A245F/DS, which means it is a 4G smartphone with a dual-SIM card slot.

Previous reports indicate that Samsung could equip the Galaxy A24 with a MediaTek Helio G99 processor or the Snapdragon 680 chipset. After launching the Galaxy A14 (4G and 5G), Galaxy A34 5G, and Galaxy A54 5G, Samsung seems ready to launch the Galaxy A24. Over the past few weeks, most information about the phone’s design and specifications has leaked. Various third-party case makers have now started listing the phone’s cases, hinting at the phone’s impending official announcement.

The Galaxy A24’s cases have been listed on the websites of various online retailers in India. Their images confirm that the Galaxy A24 will have a design that’s similar to other Galaxy A series phones launched in 2023. The phone will have three rear-facing cameras, each having its own camera lens protection ring. There doesn’t seem to be any pattern or special design on the rear. The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint reader, a loudspeaker, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack (thankfully).

On the front, the Galaxy A24 has a display with an Infinity-V notch at the top. The bezel below the screen is bigger than the bezel on the other three sides of the screen.
